Hercules, a much-anticipated decentralized exchange (DEX) for real yield and deeply customizable liquidity infrastructure, will launch on the Metis network on March 18. Hercules is built with the Metis ecosystem in mind, providing tools to help builders launch, bootstrap third-party project-owned liquidity, and foster partnerships. Hercules will give users and builders access to the sustainable liquidity they need to navigate the modern DeFi space.
Metis is an EVM-Equivalent Ethereum Layer-2 protocol focused on bridging the gap between Web2 and Web3. Metis provides users with a decentralized and scalable easy-to-use network secured by Ethereum. Metis is the first optimistic rollup to decentralize its sequencer and aims to launch the first-ever Ethereum Hybrid Rollup this quarter, combining the best features of Optimistic and ZK Rollups.
When launched on March 18, Hercules will begin introducing a suite of sophisticated features such as custom automated liquidity management strategies, concentrated liquidity pools, and dynamic fees for changing market conditions across a variety of token types. Hercules will also bring its own launchpad to onboard new projects to Metis L2.
The Hercules dual-token design, TORCH and xTORCH (an escrowed version of TORCH), is at the heart of the protocol’s functionality and sustainability as a DEX. The xTORCH token gives holders access to the deepest and most rewarding features of the Hercules protocol: potential revenue sharing and increased rewards, launchpad access, and more. The token dynamics ensure Hercules is flexible enough to align incentives between the community, builders, protocols, and the Metis ecosystem
Hercules is designed to be a highly capital-efficient platform and is set to become an ecosystem hub and liquidity layer for Metis. Projects using and building on Hercules will benefit from healthy and tailored incentivization mechanics to help grow their own projects sustainably. Communities can be incentivized with Nitro pools, and the launchpad offers support for project IDOs and building on top of Hercules.
Hercules pools will launch over the next three weeks for traders, protocols, and liquidity providers to join one of the most highly anticipated protocols of the year.
