SDX Announces New Board of Directors Appointments to Enhance Digital Asset Expertise

SDX Group AG (SDX), the leading Digital Financial Market Infrastructure provider, is pleased to announce additions to its Board of Directors*; independent non-executive directors (INEDs) Andrew Peel, CFA and Bertrand Perez, in addition to Bjørn Sibbern, Global Head Exchanges at SIX.

Andrew Peel, CFA, joins as a globally recognized leader in digital assets within the banking sector, having been actively involved in this field for over a decade. Since 2018, Andrew has held the role of Head of Digital Asset Markets at Morgan Stanley. Andrew brings 19 years of financial industry experience encompassing investment management, structured product trading, and market making, in addition to his technical and commercial digital asset expertise.

The second external appointment, Bertrand Perez has served as CEO of the Web3 Foundation out of Zug, and as Chief Operating Officer of the Diem Association, a cryptocurrency-based payment network initiated by Facebook/Meta. Bertrand’s extensive experience in designing and managing mission-critical payment platforms, and Andrew’s extensive expertise in both traditional financial markets and digital assets will bring invaluable insights and commercial expertise to the SDX board.

Bjørn Sibbern, Global Head Exchanges at SIX will also join the Board of Directors. Bjørn’s extensive background in financial markets, banking and post trade services will provide crucial insights and strategic direction to SDX. Moreover, this appointment will continue to ensure SDX’s strategic alignment across SIX Group.

We thank our departing Board of Director members Dr. Jochen Dürr and Josef Landolt for their significant contributions to SDX to date.
